Hello reader, listener, follower, lover, hater, etc.
Who are you? I am zxevik, and I make these sounds. I make a lot of things. I destroy a lot of things, too. I am competitive and resilient, a lover and a fighter, a sage and a fool - ideally, the textbook definition of the Gemini duality. I also have a cat, he's teaching me to play the piano. Your tracks are short.. and strange. Yes, they certainly are! Also inchoesive to each other, and relatively unpolished. To my defense, I grew up listening to various video game soundtracks and religious contemporary music, so my foundation is anything but traditional. Things have changed though - I have, over time, exposed myself to many a great sound through many a great person, and will continue to do so until I expire. Regarding song length, I fill as much space as I feel was necessary to make good on the original idea. Start to finish on any of my tracks is roughly a few hours - grueling intense hours, but never much more than that. I also spend most of my time these days around musicians, both established and aspiring, so I am in a constant state of evolution and can't be bothered to look back. Who has that kind of time these days? I love and hate structure, mostly hate though. You, too, play a role in the creation process, whoever you may be. Why do you even do this? I'm selling a concept, the concept is to be true to yourself and to do what you love, because you only get to live once. I also want to give you a taste of something strange, to get you out of your head, because it gets me out of mine. That's really what this is all about.
